I'm a legitimate oatmeal cookie monster... I just counted, as well as January 2018, I have shared 47 oatmeal cookie recipes along with you. Eep! Have you tried any of these yet? (? You'll locate all my oatmeal cookie recipes right there!) They're some of the most well-known recipes on my site cause they taste very sweet and comfy, just like traditional"indulgent" oatmeal cookie recipes, but they include no refined sugar or bread!

So you are going to begin with whole wheat bread (or fermented, if you would like ) and immediate oats (like these... or these for a gluten free edition!) . Instant oats are smaller and thinner than conventional rolled oats, also you can see them at canisters right alongside those old-fashioned oats in the grocery shop.

I probably sound like a broken record by now... But because I ? you and want your cookies to flip out absolutely soft and chewy, I am reminding you ... Quantify your yogurt and bread correctly, with this method or even a kitchen scale! (? That is the one I have and love. It just cost $20!) A lot of either ingredient will make your cookies taste cakey or dry, instead of chewy. This is particularly true of this oats--that they act like little sponges and consume plenty of moisture out of your cookie dough!

Ripe bananas- perfect for baking! Really like all @amybakeshealthy's yummy & wholesome banana recipes!

See those bananas? And all of those brown stains? When it comes to baking with bananas, brown = amazing! I ? additional speckly bananas because they've a lot bright, bold flavor--and additional sweetness! That is the minimum amount of brown that I recommend. More is even better!

The remainder of the cookie dough's sweetness comes in a different organic ingredient... Pure maple syrup (like that!) . You would like the kind that comes directly from maple trees, which is normally sold in skinny glass jars or squat, round plastic jugs. Forget the pancake syrup and sugar-free syrup!

The pancakes include much more sweetness! The recently purchased, additional plump, perfectly delicate ones are perfect... But for those who have old, somewhat dried out raisins (hmm... it sounds silly to describe dried fruit as dried outside! ) , that is fine!

Only add them to a microwave-safe bowland pour water on top until they're completely covered. Seal plastic wrap over the surface, and then microwave the bowl on high for 1 minute. If you let the raisins sit mixing together the cookie dough, then this small trick hydrates them so they're incredibly succulent --and that makes a difference in these cookies as soon as they're baked!

Bake at 325°F for about 10-12 minutes. Cool to the pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack.

Notes: It is extremely important to measure both the wheat and oats correctly utilizing this technique or a kitchen scale. (? That is the one I own and enjoy!) Too much of either will dry out the cookies and abandon them cakey instead of chewy.

Immediate oats are also referred to as quick-cooking or minute oats. They arrive in large canisters, exactly like conservative oats. They're not the ones at the tiny flavored packets of oatmeal. To make your own, add the same amount of classic oats to a food processor, and pulse 10-12 days or until the oats are about 1/4 into ? of their original size.

For the fermented flour, I recommend the following mix: 1/2 cup (60g) millet flour, two tablespoons (15g) tapioca flour, two tbsp (15g) brown rice flour, as well as 1/2 tsp xanthan gum. Most store-bought gluten-free flour blends (such as that one!) Will also do the job, if quantified like this.

If your raisins are elderly, dryer, and not too plump or juicy... Add them to a microwave-safe bowl, and pour water on top till they're totally coated. Seal plastic wrap over the surface, and then microwave the bowl on high for 1 minute. If you allow the peppers sit while mixing together the cookie dough, this little hint hydrates them so they're really tender and juicy!
